How it all started:

A lot of you may wonder: “who is Eric?” or, “when did Eric get a nice, beautiful new girlfriend?” Well, here’s the story.

About 11 years ago when both of them were young and naive they attended Mount Garfield Middle School in Palisade CO. At this time neither of them had any interest in the other. Aside from acting in a few school plays together and occasionally passing through in between classes they barely noted the other was alive.

It wasn’t until freshman year in high school when things turned around. It was that time of year, when girls timidly ask boys to the dance they all dread- Sadie Hawkins. Laura was one day walking along minding her own business when she was approached by two, giant, senior boys. Luke Waters and Chris Mowrer. Said giants told Laura that she should ask Eric to the dance, and Laura did. Their first and last date for a very long time was at Applebees in GJ CO. They went to the “dance”- but, did no such thing. They sat and looked at each other and pranced about with their friends- seperately.

Over the next eight years the two tested other relationships, attended colleges, traveled, and found out who they were and what they were looking for. Both went through pretty awful breakups which lead them to the single life.

In August of 2009 Eric and Laura started talking to each other on FACEBOOK- Eric informed Laura that he was going to be coming to Palisade to visit family and asked if she’d like to meet up with him. Laura knew that Eric very much enjoyed playing disc golf and suggested that they play a round at powderhorn- they did. From that day on the two found that they didn’t like to, nor want to spend any time apart.

Over the past six months the two have found a “match made in Heaven” with one another and intend to make it official. They will be married on Sept 25th of 2010. When you know, you know. You know?
